Disclaimer, terms of use and privacy
This page sets out the basis on which information is made available on this website.
1. No advertisement or solicitation
The Bar Council of India does not permit advertisement or solicitation by advocates in any form or manner. By accessing this website, you acknowledge and confirm that you are seeking information relating to DIA Law Associates of your own accord, and that there has been no form of solicitation, advertisement, invitation or inducement of any kind whatsoever from the firm or any of its members to create an advocate–client relationship.
2. Information only
The contents of this website, including the notes, the compliance calendar, the checklists and the matter finder, are provided solely for informational purposes and at your specific request. They do not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, legal advice or an opinion on any matter. Statutory due dates and procedures change, and those shown are indicative only. The firm is not liable for any consequence of any action taken by a reader relying on material or information published on this website.
3. No advocate–client relationship
Reading this website, using any tool on it, sending an enquiry through it, or corresponding with the firm does not by itself create an advocate–client relationship. Such a relationship arises only when the firm has confirmed an engagement in writing and has accepted the matter.
4. Confidentiality of enquiries
Please do not send confidential or privileged material through the enquiry form or by email before an engagement has been agreed in writing. Information sent before engagement may not be treated as privileged, and the firm may already be acting for another party in the same matter.
5. Privacy
This website does not run analytics, advertising trackers or third-party cookies, and it does not store enquiry form data. The enquiry form works entirely inside your own browser: when you choose to send, it opens your own email application or WhatsApp with the message already written, and you send it yourself.
The checklists remember which items you have ticked using your browser's local storage, on your own device. That information is never transmitted anywhere and clearing your browser data removes it. The disclaimer acknowledgement is stored in your browser for the duration of your visit only.
The website loads typefaces from Google Fonts and, on the contact page, an embedded map from Google Maps. Those requests mean Google's servers receive your IP address. No other third-party service is used. The only personal information the firm holds is what you choose to send it, which is used only to respond to your enquiry and is not shared with any third party except as required by law.
6. Accuracy and changes
The firm makes a reasonable effort to keep the information on this website accurate and current, but does not warrant that it is complete or up to date. Law and procedure change. Content may be revised or withdrawn without notice.
7. Intellectual property
All content on this website is the property of DIA Law Associates and may not be reproduced without written permission.
8. Governing law
Use of this website is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising out of it.
